Yellow Fever for Southern Africa!

I have got today my Yellow Fever vaccination. This is nothing new when planning a trip in Africa BUT I was many, many (about 5) times in the Tropical Institute and two different doctors told I would NOT need this vaccination for following countries: Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa.

I believed in that until I met last week a traveler that was traveling 4 months through Africa. Partly, the same countries as I will travel. He was very sceptical what made my attention crow. Thus I searched internet and guide books. I found information that many times you can have problems when having no certificate for Yellow Fever vaccination. For me it was interesting to read that especially from Mozambique to Malawi you can have entry problems.

Thus, do not always listen to your doctors, just do what you think. I thought I will need it but this doctors kept me away from getting until now. Now I have it and everything will be all right. Just I will get a flew in about 3 to 6 days - believing doctors words ;o - what will be in the middle of my most important exams...

In three weeks I will be already in South Africa!!!
